Accessibility Statement

This Access Statement does not contain personal opinions as to the

suitability for those with access needs, but it aims to accurately describe the

facilities and services offered to all guests.


Croftview is a luxurious contemporary property that sleeps up to 30 guests in 13 en suite bedrooms and has a Spa Hall with an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.

There is one bedroom on the ground floor, eight on the first floor and four on the second floor. The ground floor bedroom is access friendly with an en suite wet room with an emergency pull cord, grab rails and fold down shower seat. Shower stool available on request. Within the bedroom is ample space for manoeuvrability should it be required and there is a pull down rail inside the wardrobe for ease of reaching any clothing items. The bed is zip and link and can be arranged as a Super King or Twin beds. TV with full Sky packages, Netflix, Amazon and Freeview.



By Train: the nearest train station is at Crewkerne, just under 15 minutes by car. Crewkerne is on the London Waterloo to Penzance line.

By Bus: South West Coaches 96 96A Y9 stops at Crewkerne train station or the Number 9 bus route calls at the crossroads in the village of Hinton St George.

By Taxi: Crewkerne Taxis (01460 75088) and MP Taxis (01460 73009) are recommended.

By Car: Detailed directions will be given with your check-in information once a booking has been made.

Grocery Deliveries: Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Dart Fresh deliver to the property.

Equipment: A ramp can be provided to aid access into the house and within any of the ground floor areas if required. Other accessibility items can be arranged via the Property Manager from independent providers.



A gated tarmac private road to the estate leads to the car parking area for Croftview, which has space for 16 plus cars. There is a slight slope from the parking area to the entrance gates of the property, which takes you direct into the courtyard. The courtyard can be used as a drop off point for luggage or any disabled visitors before parking in the designated area. There are no steps within all the arrival areas. There is sensor activated lighting covering the car park and entranceway.

The whole of the outside area to the property and grounds is well lit.

There are three EV charging points.

All guests will be welcomed by the Property Manager and will be given a tour of the property.

All keys provided are the responsibility of the guests and it is advised to use the key safe.


Entrance to the Property

There is a small threshold step 35mm high through the main door into the house. A ramp is available for this but must be requested prior to arrival.

The width of the entrance door is 880mm.

There is laminate flooring on both the ground and first floors and carpet in the second floor bedrooms. All en suite bathrooms are tiled floors.

There are ceiling spot lights and table lamps throughout the property.


Ground Floor

Access to the large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge is via the main entrance hall. All door widths are 880mm and all thresholds are level. There is underfloor heating throughout the property. There is ample space on the ground floor for wheelchair manoeuvrability if required.



The open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge is a large and spacious room with bi-fold doors that open onto the rear patio with a low threshold.



The first and second floors are accessed via two oak and glass staircases at either end of the house with oak handrails. The stairs are 980mm wide and have a tread depth of 280mm. There is currently no wheelchair access to theupper floors. Pushchairs can be stored in an area underneath the stairs.


First Floor Bedrooms

All first floor bedrooms have laminate flooring, TV’s with a full Sky package,

Netflix, Amazon and Freeview. Bedside lamps and ceiling spotlights. Beds are all zip and link (Super King or Twins).

Second Floor Bedrooms

These rooms are carpeted and have zip and link beds, with the exception of

Bedroom 10 (Owl Room) which has a Super King bed.

There are TV’s with a full Sky package, Netflix, Amazon, and Freeview.

Bedside lamps and ceiling spotlights.

All indoor areas are NON SMOKING. Ash bins are provided outside the property.



The gardens are approximately 1600m2 in total.

There is a large paved courtyard at the front of the house and a level paved patio at the rear, with benches and seating, accessed via double doors from the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge areas and doors from the Games Room.

There are wide steps with handrails down to the lawned area.

The BBQ Hut/Hobbit House is not suitable for wheelchair users as there are steep steps leading down to it from the upper pathway and to access it from the other side is only possible via a grassed slope.


Swimming Pool

Children must be supervised at all times within the Spa Hall and pool.

Consideration should be given to all the Spa Rules located on signs surrounding the pool area.

Access to the Spa Hall is through secure doors via a short hallway off the Games Room.

The swimming pool measures 10m x 5m with an even depth of 1.2m. There are steps at one end to aid access. There is a 1.8m wide tiled walkway around the pool.

Baby changing facilities are available within the Changing Rooms in the Spa Hall.


Hot Tub

The sunken Hot Tub is circular in shape, measuring 2.3m in diameter.

There are two steps with a handrail down into it and is approximately 80cm deep.



The Sauna measures 2.0m x 2.4m. It has a level threshold.


Grounds and the Estate

All guests can enjoy the designated walks that are signposted around the

Estate as well as laminated maps placed with the Guide Book and

Information Guide located within the lounge area of the property.


Additional Information

All trained Assistance Dogs are welcome.

Visitors with sight impairment are allowed to use their sense of touch to explore the house.

Colour Contrast

Good colour contrast between floors, doors and walls as well as bright and colourful soft furnishings.

Allergy Considerations

All duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic. The British branded toiletries by ‘Bramley’ provided within the bathrooms are made from natural ingredients, recyclable packaging, cruelty free and vegan friendly.
