Cuisine de la Ruell

Cuisine de la Ruell

Hi, I'm Charlotte. I have always enjoyed a passion for cooking from an early age.

After I finished my education, I went to live in Tignes, France and Chalet hosted during the ski season. This further progressed to managing a Yurt/Teepee for french evenings on a regular basis.

On returning home, I worked at Pinkmans Bakery in Bristol and loved their passion for good quality ingredients and producing incredible pastries and cakes. This position gave me the drive and enthusiasm to further my knowledge and skills with Patisserie. I moved to London in order to commence the Diploma Course at Le Cordon Bleu, where I met some inspirational Chefs who helped me to progress and achieve my life long ambition of gaining the Diploma.

This achievement gave me the confidence to obtain a position at Sketch Restaurant, Mayfair, London, where I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge to demonstrate my skills in a fascinating environment, producing high end exclusive afternoon teas.

This was an amazing experience working in a large professional kitchen and gave me the opportunity to further my career.

In 2019 I returned home to my family's farm in Somerset to assist with the development of Croftview. Once this was established we then proceeeded to renovate the barn adjacent to the property into a Commercial/Professional Kitchen and Function Room. This was when 'Cuisine de la Ruell' was created. I have now achieved my ultimate goal and cooking in my own kitchen where I can be creative and produce innovative ideas having attained the knowledge and expertise in London and Bristol.
